Things are Not OK
In a world where we're often encouraged to push aside our true feelings, put on a brave face, and focus solely on the positive, it's easy to lose touch with our authentic voice and own Feelings.
The constant negation of our emotions can lead to a disconnection from our genuine selves. I've been there way too many times.
My body usually has to do give me a colossal wake up call to get me to come to my senses or wake me up to my true feelings and emotions.
But here's the thing: embracing our authentic voice and own feelings is a powerful act of self-love and self-discovery.
🌟 It's about acknowledging the full spectrum of our emotions, both positive and negative, and giving ourselves permission to feel without judgment.
Imagine a life where you can express your thoughts, fears, joys, and vulnerabilities openly, without the fear of being judged or misunderstood.
Reclaiming your authentic voice starts with a simple yet transformative exercise:
1️⃣ Find a quiet space where you can reflect without distractions.
2️⃣ Close your eyes, take a few deep breaths, and ask yourself: "How am I truly feeling right now? What is NOT OK"
3️⃣ Allow whatever emotions arise to be acknowledged without reservation. There's no right or wrong answer – only your honest truth.
4️⃣ Write down your feelings in a journal or record a voice memo. This step solidifies your connection with your emotions.
5️⃣ Practice this exercise regularly. Over time, it will become easier to identify and express your feelings authentically.
Remember, your emotions are valid, whether they're positive or not-so-positive. They're an integral part of who you are. By reclaiming your authentic voice, you're embracing your uniqueness and cultivating a deeper connection with yourself.
So let's embark on this journey together – one of self-discovery, self-acceptance, and the beautiful symphony of emotions that make us human.
